What is the difference between Tae Kwon Do, jiu jitsu, and boxing?
Tae Kwon Do is a striking style of martial arts which puts a heavy emphasis on kicking techniques. Tae Kwon Do teaches other forms of striking such as punches, knees, and elbows, and also works on blocking techniques, stances, and footwork. Boxing is a striking style of martial arts that uses closed fists to deliver powerful blows to an opponent’s head or torso. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial arts and combat sports system that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. BJJ is founded on the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger and/or heavier opponent by using technique, leverage, joint locks and chokes.
DMA CREED
I am a student of life. Every person I meet is a teacher, and every environment is a classroom. As a leader I must never stop learning and know that before I can lead I must first learn to follow. Every obstacle I face is an opportunity to learn and can be overcome with an open mind, a plan and determination.
As long as I am willing to learn there is nothing I cannot do!
